A life well lived

Well, Grandma died Saturday. Unexpected. But Jean was an optimist and contributed to my DNA in kind. So here's a Top 10 - Grandma Head Edition.

10) She died at home.
9) Played cards and kept up with "The Young & The Restless" to the end.
8) Must find out the last book she read!
7) Had been to the movies the week before. (Secret Life of Bees?)
6) Had spoken with all her grandchildren in the last week.
5) Son Jim lived close by.
4) Daughter Susan had just enjoyed a 10 day visit.
3) Daughter Rebecca was staying with her that week.
2) Thankfully I'd spent a recent weekend playing Scrabble with her.
1) She had all her marbles, boundless curiosity and bottomless love for her family!
